L&rsquo;arbre est originaire de ces \u00eeles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le combawa est connu surtout en cuisine, diff\u00e9rente partie sont utilis\u00e9es. : L&rsquo;\u00e9corce du combava est dot\u00e9e d&rsquo;un ar\u00f4me tr\u00e8s intense, rappelant nettement la citronnelle. On l&rsquo;utilise principalement \u00e0 la R\u00e9union, \u00e0 Madagascar et en Asie du Sud-Est (Tha\u00eflande, Cambodge, Vi\u00eat Nam, etc.). Son zeste y rel\u00e8ve le go\u00fbt de nombreux plats, comme les rougails de tomates ou les sauces de piment. On utilise le jus pour pr\u00e9parer une boisson d\u00e9salt\u00e9rante. Les feuilles sont \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9es dans la composition de nombreux plats. Au Laos : apr\u00e8s la cuisine, le jus du combava est aussi utilis\u00e9 pour laver les cheveux pour les garder longs et brillants. A cultiver en ext\u00e9rieur \u00e0 la belle saison, hiverner hors-gel.
